Neurodiversity Learning Community Meeting In-Person
The Neurodiversity Learning Community will hold its second meeting of the Fall 2024 semester. The primary focus of this meeting will be goal-setting for this year's LC. We will also discuss issues raised by the readings and resources available on the LC's Canvas course. All faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and staff who identify either as neurodivergent or neurotypical persons (or who aren't sure) are welcome to attend. You need not have attended our first meeting to jump in and join our mutual inquiry and support! For more information, and to join the LC mailing list and Canvas course, please contact Steve Klien, T4LC Faculty Fellow.
By the end of this session, attendees should be able to:
1. Explain the goals of the 2024-2025 Neurodiversity Learning Community;
2. Discuss issues raised by available resources regarding neurodivergent identity in academia;
3. Access shared online resources and contribute to backchannel discussion between monthly meetings;
4. Network with a community of colleagues who are similarly interested in issues of neurodivergence and neurodiversity in higher education.
