Active Learning: Principles and Techniques Online
This is an introduction to active learning principles and techniques that promote student engagement across disciplines. Together, we’ll explore methods for incorporating active learning into our teaching practices, from small-scale activities to more comprehensive approaches.
Learning Outcomes
1. Identify active learning strategies that align with specific learning objectives and engage students in varied thinking tasks from recall to evaluation.
2. Discuss challenges we may encounter in implementing active learning.
3. Consider both high-tech and low-tech teaching tools to support active learning.
