Introduction to SoTL, Part Two In-Person

In the second session of this two-part interactive series, we will build upon the foundations of the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) for participants to refine a SoTL-related project pertinent to their practice. We will begin with a brief review of the foundations of SoTL and the personalized SoTL project development resource introduced in part one of the series. This will be followed by reflective and collaborative opportunities for participants to refine their SoTL-related project by performing a SWOT analysis, developing SMART goals, and identifying additional resources needed to support their SoTL-related project.  Finally, we will highlight and explore resources at the campus and national level to support an individual’s journey into SoTL.

By the end of this session, participants will:

  1. Recognize the principles of good practice in SoTL.
  2. Design a SoTL-related topic.
  3. Identify SoTL-related resources.
