Review of Teaching: "Teaching for Learning Effectiveness: Empowering & Supportive" In-Person

Teaching for Learning Effectivenss at Mizzou is "Empowering and Supportive". This dimension of teaching uses past experiences, current perspectives, and future ambitions to connect students to the course material. It gives students the feedback and resources for them to succeed in the course and beyond. In this workshop, participants will explore how various aspects of Empowering and Supportive Teaching can be implemented in ways easily adapted to different disciplines, student populations, and teaching modalities.

During this session, attendees will...
- Describe "Empowering and Supportive" and explain why it is vital in teaching for learning.
- Identify techniques used by instructors to create an empowering and supportive learning environment.
- Brainstorm updates to make their classes more empowering and supportive for students.
