Reflecting on teaching is a key component of scholarship for educators. MU encourages reflection by requiring that faculty complete an annual Self Reflection of Teaching. This Workshop will guide instructors through the reflection process. We will discuss the purpose of and possible avenues to explore while reflecting on your teaching. Significant time will be provided for participants to work on their own reflection while supported by a community of colleagues who can provide ideas and answer questions.

By the end of this session, participants will...
1. Be able to explain the purpose of the reflection as a scholarly foundation to teaching.
2. Think deeply on recently-taught classes and explore new possibilities.
3. Draft their self reflection, perhaps using the format needed for the campus annual Teaching Self-Reflection.
