Review of Teaching: "Making Sense of Student Feedback" In-Person

It is important to avoid dismissing the value of student feedback data based on its inherent limitations. We can use the wealth of data collected by student feedback instruments to identify both notable details and instructive patterns in the data that we might otherwise overlook. This workshop will explore how we can use these details and patterns to construct a more meaningful story of the teaching and learning experience.

After this workshop, you will be able to…
1. Explain the limitations of traditional approaches to interpreting quantitative and open-response student feedback data.
2. Implement strategies for interpreting quantitative student feedback data that reveal meaningful insights into student perceptions of teaching.
3. Implement strategies for interpreting open-response student feedback data that reveal meaningful insights into student perceptions of teaching.
