Review of Teaching: "Teaching for Learning Effectiveness: Welcoming & Collaborative" In-Person

Teaching for Learning Effectivenss at Mizzou is "Welcoming and Collaborative". This dimension of teaching involves how courses engages students in the learning environment and help build a sense of belonging and community. It also makes use of student-to-student interactions to help foster learning. In this workshop, participants will explore how various aspects of Welcoming and Collaborative Teaching can be implemented in ways easily adapted to different disciplines, student populations, and teaching modalities.

During this session, attendees will...
- Describe "Welcoming and Collaborative" and explain why it is vital in teaching for learning.
- Identify techniques used by instructors to create a welcoming and collaborative learning environment.
- Brainstorm updates to make their classes more welcoming and collaborative for students.
