Teaching Toolkit - All of the Above: Crafting Effective Multiple-Choice Assessments Online

We’ll discuss how we can design multiple-choice questions that not only assess recall but also probe conceptual understanding, diagnose misconceptions, and stimulate higher-order thinking. After this session, folks should be better able to identify the anatomy of a well-constructed question stem, options, and distractors, and draft multiple-choice items that assess students’ application and analysis.
